Carpark under Maitland - I really like this pic, I'm pretty sure it's one of the ones I was thinking of when I was drawing up that 'station' picture.

Maitland is one of the towns I'm from, I suppose. It's one of Australia's oldest towns, and sits in the middle of the Hunter valley, all a pretty rural area, not far from Newcastle, which is a bit away from Sydney. I never took any pictures back when I was living in Maitland, so it was kind of fun to go back and see it all again through a lens.

Of course, you can't get any idea of Maitland from this picture. One of the things that really struck me about photography starting out is that the frame is so narrow. You can frame any place in any light, within reason. It only really matters where you stand.
